Phone has bad wifi reception and am looking for smaller than router alternatives

Just wanna know if a wifi card is capable of broadcasting a signal and if I can use it as a repeater before just getting a router that I have to find a place to put in

If that is not possible then I have another question. Do repeaters support pass through? I only have one ethernet cable going into the room and would like to not have to run another because my computer is using that one single cable
