McAfee is confusing and I’m not techy enough to know if I’m getting shafted.

Currently I (I think mistakenly) have 2 products from McAfee: all access, and LiveSafe. From what I’ve seen in other discussions, I should probably try to get away from McAfee altogether. Firstly, is that a good plan? Secondly, what is another AV software that has sleek and easy-to-understand UI that I can get on many devices? I wanna get something that my parents can use too but none of us are very good with tech jargon. Besides virus detection and removal, I’d prefer the software to have some hard drive cleaning functionality, where it detects and removes junk files and things that are slowing your machine down. Any help would be greatly appreciated; technology is hard.
