Random BSOD and no dump files being created, any ideas?
My son has an Asus laptop that has been randomly crashing for months. We thought it has stopped but today it happened again, and a lot. The main issue I have is that it never creates a dump file. The windows log shows a failure to create the dump each time and everything I have tried to fix that has failed.
Today's crashes were while playing Minecraft. The family was on a realm together and using an Alexa call to chat. He would say he crashed, then seconds later the xboxs would disconnect from the realm and the Alexa call dropped. The other pc didn't disconnect, but it was connected to a different wifi network (one router with 3 broadcasting networks). This happened 3 times before I shifted one Xbox to another network. Fourth crash we lost the call but not that Xbox. I don't know if his bluescreen crash is related to the network but seems way too consistent to be unrelated to me.
Does anyone have any idea what I can to to diagnose his issues? I have run memory checks, reinstalled windows, bios updates, bios downgrades and many other ideas but I am open to trying most of them again.
