After plugging in a HDMI cable to my rtx 3080 my monitor (DP) starts zooming in and out randomly and freezes.

I found it very hard to Google this issue and couldn't find anything similar.

My monitor is connected via display port. When connecting a HDMI to my TV all of a sudden my monitor zooms in and out and the screen freezes. It happens instantly and then randomly after that.

I have had this exact same setup 6mo ago without any issues. I get the same result with the three HDMI cables I own and it happens whether the other end is plugged into the TV or not.

Very keen to find out what's the go.
