Help Replacing HP Pavilion bottom cover

I am having a hard time replacing the back cover of an HP Pavilion 15-cr0051cl. I’ve looked through the manual, which only shows how to remove the bottom cover, and I’ve looked through tons of videos and can only find people saying “…and replace the back cover.” without showing how to actually handle the difficult design. Also, most videos are only of similar models, not this exact model.

This laptop seems to have been specifically designed to make the back cover extremely difficult to put back on. For some context, in order to remove it, a pry tool should first be placed near a hinge so that this little pole on the top center of the cover can be lifted out of the way. that pole normally sits in a hole on the motherboard. the location of the pole makes it so that when the clips of the cover are inserted, the cover will still not close because the pole is not aligned.

Has anyone successfully put a bottom cover on that had this design?
