mic stand shocks me

when i touch my mic stand it shocks me and sometimes makes my monitors flicker, i've inspected the cord to my mic for a split wire somewhere and found nothing. my mic is only connected to my computer, not monitors, via thicc micro usb (i forget what it's actually called)

the mic itself is a blue snowball with the pop filter on and the stand is some cheapo amazon thing but it's clamped to a wooden desk so i dont think it would be static electricity. the fastest it's shocked me has been about 15 seconds between shocks but that only happened once so far and it's usually more than 2 minutes between shocks
