TV is not detected as audio output device when plugged into graphics card

My TV is not recognised as an audio device and the system does not register any audio device being plugged in when I have my TV connected to my Radeon 7800xt's HDMI port.

It does, however, output sound when I plug it into my motherboard's HDMI port. The issue with this though is that it cannot output 4k at 60hz and is hard-capped at 24hz which is far less than desirable.

It's probably a driver issue but I'm scratching my head as to what I'm actually supposed to do to fix it.
