Secondary monitor goes blank moments after being turned on.

Cannot get secondary monitor to stay on. I can turn it off and back on and get an image for another moment, and then it goes black again.

Having tried a different monitor and different cables and even different ports on the video card to no avail, and even plugged an old blu-ray player into them and that worked without issue.

Having eliminateed external factors, the issue must be with the PC, either in the hardware or software, but I am at a loss figuring out what to do on that end to find the source of the problem, let alone fix it. Drivers have been updated.
