Is there such a thing as a dongle to connect peripherals to directly? (explanation inside)

Obviously bluetooth dongles that give a computer bluetooth connectivity exist, that's not what I mean. I mean a dongle that accepts peripheral connections *directly*, meaning I could unplug it from one computer and into another and the peripherals will connect to the *dongle* and not the computer.

Does such a thing exist? And if not, is it because it's a really difficult/niche ask, or is it just really stupid and I should just buy a keyboard/mouse combo that can connect to multiple devices via bluetooth? I hate to change my workflow but if it's just the way it is then so be it but I figured I'd ask.
