Can't view laptop bios on external display even after disconnecting the built in screen from the motherboard.
My laptop's screen is broken. This wouldn't be an issue since I have an external monitor, except every now and again when restarting it goes to bios instead of just booting windows. When it does that I'm flying blind.
I've tried closing the lid after turning it on and that doesn't do anything. I've also tried disconnecting the LCD connector from the ZIF port on the motherboard itself but nothing happens. Are there any more things to troubleshoot short of buying a new screen for the laptop? Like do they sell a connector that goes from an external monitor directly into the ZIF port?
Another helpful solution would be if someone were able to give me an image library of all the screens in the American Megatrends Inc. N.1.03, 8/30/2019 bios.
