HBA Card Boot Issues With X870E MSI Board
I do not know what else to do so I am reaching out to ya'll. A few weeks ago I bought [this](https://www.amazon.com/9201-8i-Controller-9211-8i-Expander-SFF-8087/dp/B0BVTJPZSG/ref=mp_s_a_1_3?channelId=500&clpRedir=Y&dib=eyJ2IjoiMSJ9.iYP6jlmSJ6WwL4aAT1L10HrRybEYLu1dm70x3UklmtbAcvwJfkzaITtuhqSAaNjHuSxUdZpKYM2rpts6UbbSpd9s3FbMI8nZgdllKSO0q-O7J4gd5WCBrYRzMWjuy6TXdV0Pwh30ge8qeulIq6WRFKIpLTCEaCjCU62hw6MGe3Ukfr8DAwgmJjd-3y7Ehxv-ru4MsYhRw0VEfjMF39oSMw.gNy9B4_xEIr7BLfxToQXehx04-9F2J6e8pzaLZ1t_rw&dib_tag=se&keywords=sas+controller+card&plpRedirect=mhFallback&qid=1786594793&sr=8-3) HBA SAS card to connect up a few SAS drives I got for a home lab server. Long story short I can not have this X870E do a cold boot more than once with this card in. It is totally ok if I take the card out, power it back on, and then put it back in. But it will only work that first time. Hot reboots will still make the system work, like the reboots that an OS setup would do. But anything else makes it freeze and crash. I have tried a good deal of BIOS setting. No the MSI X870E boards do not have a fast boot option. I have tried lane splitting in the bios and pretty much every bios thing inclusive legacy boot to get it to work. If I power it down when the card is installed and I'm early put it in another slot it will work for the next boot only. I just don't know what to do to solve this so I'm seeing if anyone has a solution to this issue.
