Zoom 5354 high wifi latency to router, abysmal speeds from ethernet attached QNAP NAS

ZOOM 5354 modem/router combo Hardware Version V1.0 Software Version 5.5.10.7 ISP: Comcast / Xfinity in center city Philadelphia

Im getting stupefyingly slow transfer speeds from NAS server (200kb/s), ridiculous pings to 192.168.0.1 (3353ms), inconsistent browsing speeds, and unplayable pings for gaming.

i initially thought perhaps there was some comcast to blame (there probably still is somewhere), but the fact that even my local-attached NAS is also interacting miserably with the router and pings to the router itself are getting time-outs and huge latency, i figure that there is something going on with some kind of settings with the router.

power and SNR for all 8 downstream bonded channels seem normal to me 3.5-3.9dbmv for power and 40.8-41.3 on SNR . IP flood detection disabled. I can't see any IP address conflicts, and all devices are quite close to the router.

What else should I be looking for? I can't figure out what is going on, and am concerned that if its a setting issue or something outside of my control 'buying a new modem/router' will just be a waste of money. Anyone have any experience with these zoom combos?
