DisplayPort Splitting

I've been facing an issue at work where I need 3 monitors hooked up to my work PC, but I've been stonewalled in my requests to get a new PC that natively can support this. I was hoping I could get some help from you guys.

My work PC is an old Lenovo running an i3 2120 with a NVIDIA GeForce 310 that is currently driving two monitors at 1680*1050 from what appears to be a strange port (4x15 pins) with a splitter that branches into two DVI cables. That's the only port on the GPU. The motherboard has two VGA ports, and a DisplayPort.

I've tried to switch all my displays to the DisplayPort and VGAs on my mother order but the monitors don't seen to recognize the mobo as a viable output. This might be due to the GPU, I haven't cracked it open to remove yet.

Can anyone help? I'm willing to buy any adapters or whatnots as needed if I can split this mysterious port 3 ways, or even split a dvi an extra time.
