Do I have to get Windows 10?

I just upgraded my desktop to get a Gigabyte GA-AB350-Gaming 3 Mobo, a Ryzen 5 1600 cpu, 16gb memory, and a RX 580 GPU. I am keeping a 128GB SSD where I have Windows 7 Home OEM already installed and a 1TB HDD without Windows installed. When I booted it up I was able to access the BIOS just fine but when I went to boot Windows it gave me a BSOD if I try to boot Windows normally then my computer restarts. If I try to run Windows Restore or run Windows via the CD boot, I am able to get to the initial screen but my mouse and keyboard which worked in the BIOS stop working. This means I cannot proceed further. I have tried all USB slots and used a PS/2 mouse and nothing worked. In looking online I am reading that Windows 7 being so old might not work with my mobo due to how old it is. Do I have to get Windows 10? Thanks in advance!!!
