Windows 10 - Unable to boot to OS, unable to restore previous version or use startup repair. Clean install best option?

I have an Acer Swift 3 which is still under warranty and unexpectedly and suddenly cannot boot to Windows. Recovery on the laptop is unable to restore using any option in the troubleshooting menus in Windows PE.

I was able to use the advanced troubleshooting > command line prompt to pull up a file browser and recover photos/documents to an external drive (there was NO full windows backup of this machine anywhere, as it is only a few months old, and not my full time computer, but a family members). All other docs are saved to cloud.

I am wondering if there is a hardware issue. I ran diskpart in cmd to see what was up with the drive, and it appeared to be formatted as RAW. Then I ran a chkdsk /f, which resulted in a ton of errors, I asked it to run again on restart automatically. That boot resulted in a BSOD after being "stuck" at 100% completion for 10 minutes. Tried chkdsk /r as well, same result.

I'm thinking the NVME SSD is bad, or some other hardware issue.

This system is less than 6 months old, I'm considering leaving everything as is, and claiming warranty repair or replacement, rather than performing a clean install. Is that the right path to go down? Anything else I should try?

There isn't even a native Windows recovery installer I can access from the built in recovery. I'd have to use a USB with Windows creation media and install from there, hoping the system can pickup on the windows product key from before.
