Cannot Achieve 144Hz even with ASUS Monitor and Cable Seemingly Able to Do So.

My current monitor is an ASUS VG278HV and plugs into an AMD Radeon RX 5700 XT.

My previous graphics card was a GTX 1060 with the same monitor. I was previously utilizing a DVI-to-HDMI cable that worked flawlessly with 144Hz but it doesn't appear to work with this newest card. I've tried using the AMD control panel to customize the refresh rate to 144Hz, but it tells me the display does not support it.

People have said that I should purchase a dual link DVI-D cable, but this graphics card does not have a port for the DVI-D. It only has two Display Ports and one HDMI. Has anyone had similar issues? Does anyone have any idea on what I could do to remedy the problem?
