Apple IIsi won't turn on
Hello,
I have an Apple IIsi I bought second hand from a thrift store. At the time I didn't have a monitor for it so I had no indication of if it was working or not outside of the sounds it made. I noticed that I would never make the boot chime when turned on; (I believe the IIsi has built-in speakers, but I might be wrong.) all the fans and the hard drive would spin up, but no sound, though when I put my ear up to the case and listened really closely, I could hear someone... *talking*. The one video I could find on the IIsi showed some of the alert chimes and one of them was a pirate talking or something, so I assumed it was the computer alerting me I hadn't set the time on it or something like that. I went and bought a new cmos battery for it too, but alas, no change. **The main** **thing** **was** that I finally got a new monitor from an Apple Performa that had the connector on it that would work with the computer, but when I plugged it in it would show a *green light* on the monitor and no display, while the computer is *off*. When I turn the computer *on* the light on the monitor changes to *amber*, no display*.* I know the monitor works, so is it just incompatible or is there something else at play? Sorry this is so long, any help would be appreciated. It's in my garage now, but if anyone has any good ideas I will dig it out. Thank you. :)
