Large downloads (e.g. games) cause the internet on my PC to completely drop

The drop doesn't affect any other devices on my network, nor do any of them have this problem. I'll go to start a download, watch the speeds go up and stabilize as you'd expect, and then the speed instantly drops to zero and my computer loses connection to the network. The only fix is to manually disconnect and reconnect from the network on my PC. Switching to ethernet does not fix the issue. I've scoured the internet for anyone with a similar problem to mine and have not found one solution that works. I've uninstalled/reinstalled drivers, did an ipconfig renew, and some netsh, and still cannot for the life of me figure out what is causing this issue. Any help with this would be awesome
