Laptop's trackpad two-finger action zooming in/out perpetually in some applications

**TL;DR: trackpad bugging out every time, stuck zooming in/out in apps that have that function (skyrim, falloutNV, m&bWarband and even MSPaint). It scrolls fine tho. Post long because I put lots of info on what I already tried, sorry for that.**

Hello! I am incredibly sorry for the length of this post, but I've tried putting as much info as possible in it.

I have an issue with my trackpad where it works flawlesly for scrolling in some applications (web browser, file explorer) but in others where I need to use it to zoom in/out (m&b:warband, tesV:skyrim, fallout:NV, even MSPaint or MSWord) it freaks out like it gets stuck zooming in/out forever, **whenever I try using the trackpad's two-finger action to zoom in/out**.

I've managed to reproduce the issue quite well and it seems to get stuck zooming in/out even after I let go of the trackpad, also making the interface unusable when it has a scrolling feature (like in skyrim when the menu has multiple options and you can scroll between them, though that only becomes a problem if I try using the pad to zoom in/out before interacting with the menu.

**What I've got so far:**

1) I'm convinced it's an issue with my trackpad's driver when it interacts with an app's "scroll to zoom" feature, since I managed to reproduce the issue on many different programs, [plus whe I used ElanTech's "ETDDeviceInformation.exe" tool I can see it recognizes that I'm touching the pad with two fingers, so I'm confident rulling out hardware issues.](https://imgur.com/a/J15Mk3o). *Though I have installed multiple driver versions for ElanTech's software already and none of them fixed the issue.*

2) If I roll back to the driver MS/w10 provides (or really any driver that doesn't have two-finger action support), the issue is fixed. That doesn't solve my problem though as then I have no way of zooming in/out in those applications, other than using the mouse to click on the interface and change zoom values manually in MS programs. I'm not sure my device supports any drivers other than ElanTech's too, so I'm pretty much stuck with trying to fix this issue for now.

3) If I use ctrl+scroll up or ctrl+scroll down to zoom in firefox, for example, the whole thing works fine. ~~I'm wondering if firefox uses their own script to manage that sort of stuff or if I'm just cursed.~~

I've also tried tweaking ElanTech's driver registry entries to see if I could better pinpoint the issue but since I haven't found any documentation on what each entry does/changes, I haven't had much success with it. I've reverted those back to what they were by default.

I'm desperate at this point so ANY ideas, suggestions or pointers are HIGLY appreciated. Thanks in advance.

*I have a Samsung NP370E4K, running w10 home 1909, 64bit, mouse driver currently ElanTech 11.7.33.1, though I've already tried both newer and older versions.*
