Computer won't boot unless I select the SSD from the boot menu
My neighbor asked me to install an SSD and install windows on an old computer that he has. He also has two old hard drives that he would like to have access to on that computer. So with the two other hard drives unplugged I installed Windows 10 Home onto the SDD did all the updates for it. However, when I plugged in the new hard drives it comes up with "boot device not found." If I go into the boot menu and tell it to boot from the SSD it will boot just fine even after shutting down the computer. If I then unplug it and plug it back in it tells me the same boot error message.
I thought it might have been the CMOS batter so I changed it but the same thing still happens. If I unplug the HDDs and just have the SSD plugged in it works just fine without having to go to the boot menu. There is nothing on the HDDs, no system reserves, or any other hidden partitions. I checked and double-checked the boot order and that the DvD drive is empty.
The boot order is:
* EFI * SSD * CD/DvD * Removable device * LAN
