Weird problem on Windows 10 laptop

I have a very weird problem on my Windwos 10 laptop. The mouse pointer (white arrow cursor) randomly just disappears sometimes. There is no method in this madness though, I could be working in a text editor or browsing something or working on the command line, it could happen anytime. And then it takes a restart to get the cursor back.

I've tried upgrading the mouse and touchpad drivers but to no avail. I'm sure there has to be a way though because when it starts the rebooting (dotted animation of Microsoft), the cursor appears back suddenly at that moment! Are there any tweaks I can try when it disappears next time? (it happens pretty frequently, at least once every 2-3 days).
