Screen Flickers on and off periodically if playing games in full screen

I’ve got this weird issue right now that has completely stumped me. I have a dual monitor setup, and whenever I play a game in fullscreen, my main monitor will freeze, lose signal and turn black, then turn back on again. I have no idea why this happens, and have yet to find a fix. I did find out that if I change my primary monitor to my second monitor, that monitor does not experience the issue, and will not flicker at all. Could this be an issue with the monitor itself, or it it something to do with GPU drivers? I’m running an RX580 if that helps.
