PC loses internet access - LAN connection shows as active

Since yesterday I have a weird issue with my internet connection. Every 2 hours or so the computer loses internet access. The network settings still show the Ethernet status as connected though. *ipconfig -all* also shows that the PC is still connected to the router (however, I cannot access the router interface while the internet access is not working). Other devices connected to the router still have (wireless) internet access during that time.

The problem goes away immediately if I: - re-plug the Ethernet cable - disable and re-enable the Adapter (Realtek Gaming 2.5GbE Family Controller)

It also disappears after waiting for about 3 minutes.

Resetting my network settings as described [here](https://answers.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/forum/all/wired-ethernet-keeps-disconnecting-in-windows-10/b2d25519-d525-43d6-abb5-323db3b75f8f) didn't yield any results.

The only consistent error messages I could find were in the Event Viewer:

*Name resolution for the name $name timed out after none of the configured DNS servers responded.*

However, this looks more like a symptom than the cause.

My router (FRITZ!Box 6660 Cable) also doesn't show anything in its logs.

Any idea what could be the cause here?
