Discord question DM

Hi,

I use Discord on my PC. In the upper left corner there is a new Icon today "Direct Message" and it has a little red 1 in the corner. When I click on it nothing happens. I have a little OCD and these small red numbers that notify me that something is up make me itch if I can't remove them. So how can I either read that message or remove that icon?

Google for a bit but did not find anything. Already changed my options to allow all direct messages.

Edit: It just went away by itself. No idea how.
