How would a TV adaptation be done?

If an adaptation is done for the series on TV or such I would like to see it in live action with actors and CGI. However seeing as dragons have such a big role in the series creating and manipulating CGI dragons on the quality of something like game of thrones would become quite expensive and as such is one of the main thing I imagine is holding an adaptation being done. So if the show is to be adapted in a more cost effective way I imagine it might be animated. I would be fine with this, but I suppose that would depend on the art style and animation quality, which is also expensive. My question is this for you all though if you were to see an adaptation you wish for what would want most and why’s would you be willing to settle for.
