Does anyone know the rules about working for two different retailers?

I work for Tesco on checkouts, have done for years and I'm on a few hours contracted. A job has come up at the local Iceland which is also a few hours contracted. Am I allowed to apply or would it be a conflict of interest to work for both retailers? Obviously the best option would be more contracted hours at Tesco, but that just isn't happening.
