Question about Paarthunax and the return of Alduin

When Alduin is cast through time by the Tongues and the Elder Scroll, does he not arrive at the Throat of the World, at the Time Wound? If so, why is there no evidence of confrontation between him and Paarthunax and if not, where would he have arrived?
