ESO:Markarth - the identity of Rada al-Saran part 2 [SPOILERS!]
[This is a follow-up to my previous post about Rada from Greymoor](https://www.reddit.com/r/teslore/comments/g6qfw8/esogreymoor_the_identity_of_the_main_antagonist/), if you didn't read it, then I recommend you to do it before reading this post, because I summarized there his legend from the Leki's Blade sword school in the vanilla game.
Most of the new info here is from the very first quest in the DLC, so don't worry about getting spoiled about the finale or anything like that.

As mentioned in my previous post recounting his legends, Rada al-Saran is an Ansei. He is not, however, just an "ordinary" Anseir, but specifically a **Yokudan Ansei**:
>**Where did you come from?** > >This is a complicated question. A being as old as I can claim many origins. > >This body was born on the distant isles of Yokuda. This spirit was forged on the bloody shores of Hammerfell. This purpose... it grew from love. And necessity > >**You're a Yokudan.** > >That word holds little meaning for me now, but yes. > >In my youth, I dedicated my life to perfection. In art. Perfection. In love. Perfection. In war... especially in war. Perfection. To attain glory in Yokuda, nothing else would do. > >**Perfection is impossible to attain.** > >Is it? Beyond the Sea of Pearls, peerless swordmasters were as common as grains of sand. Even the grandest victories felt commonplace. > >In a land of heroes, how can anyone claim to be exceptional? > >**Someone who is perfect can.** > >Precisely. > >After the conquest of Hammerfell, I wandered in search of new challenges. I found only one. Leki. Daughter to Ruptga and master of the sword. We fought for three grueling days, without pause for rest or nourishment. > >**A great victory.** > >But I didn't win. I didn't lose, either. > >A could not accept a draw, however. The cold reality of my imperfection. That resentment drove me to Molag Bal. It took a patient wisdom of a friend to break perfection's hold on me. Now. Your turn.
In a truly samurai-like fashion, Rada sought perfection in his art. And when he couldn't attain it (even if it was against a literal god of swordmanship), he went to Molag Bal, seeking more power, just enough to remove that "imperfection".
~~Furthermore, he lost his Shehai, which is now sealed beneath the Reach. And he wants to get it back.~~ Nevermind, the thing beneath the Reach was different and the Shehai part was resolved long ago.
