Returning player looking to get up to speed, tips appreciated.

I used to play a bit when it came out, but never bought it because I ran linux. Now that it's out and mostly bug-free, I'm getting back into it, but everything has changed.

Is there a good guide to what weapons are worth a damn? There are so many now it's hard to know where to start.

I also took some time and tweaked my settings: * Lowered LERP to 15.2 * FOV 90 * Upped the refresh rate of my mouse to 1ms (aka 1000) * Mouse in RAW mode * Damage Counter + Sounds * Tweaked video for 55-120 FPS

Did I miss any obvious stuff? Anyone wanna trawl my backpack? Good servers for intermediate players where I'm not with 10yo noobs but not getting insta-gibbed as soon as I step outta spawn?

Thanks in advance, PM for steam ID

Edit:

Thanks everyone for the great input! Hopefully this will help other noobs and returning players to be somewhat competitive. Even as I improve I still feel like something is wrong when I'm the best on my team ;-)

First person who PM's me who posted something helpful in this thread can get my "Professor Speks" for helping me out. If you have't already posted something helpful, now in your chance.
