Probably a newb question, but...

Hello, 93 etc. Just as basic background, I'm not affiliated with any Thelemic organizations, or any other magickal orders at that. Just solo. I've read a lot of Crowley and commentaries on his work and am generally drawn to Thelemic concepts, so I'm coming to you.

A while ago, first during a basic LBRP, I experienced a rush which I interpreted as 'magickal energy. ' I thought that was cool and novel, but it wasn't a regular occurrence. I just took it to mean I was pointed in the right direction with my practices.

More recently I realized I could focus in on this state more or less at will, usually following a brief 'charging' state. It's very ecstatic, kind of like a dopamine rush, and with it my vision goes sparkly and my eyes kind of flutter.

So is this actually a thing? Is there a term for it? Or am I just tripping my way down some illusive rabbit hole?

Edit: Apparently I've been so caught up in trying to understand the symbolism and the theory behind magick, I kind of forgot about the whole reason why people get into it in the first place. Derp 🙃
