Aeromancy

I've always loved watching the skies. I'm never more at peace than when I'm under a clear night sky away from all the light pollution of the city, but the next best thing is watching a really dynamic cloud show.

Every once in a while, when the weather gets just right, it's practically visionary.

A little while ago I noticed a cloud that was almost a dead-on Aquarius symbol. (I actually thought to take a picture, but the form degraded quite a bit by then so it's not very impressive.)

Shortly afterwards a separate cloud system moved in from the opposite direction. Both systems were morphing and shifting rapidly, moving like armies descending on a battle. Clear humanoid shapes appeared in war stance, then transformed into fantastic creatures. Angry faces and proud faces faded in and out.

My four year old was watching with me. As the cloud systems met, the imagery became more specific.

"Look dad! A lion with wings!" He points at one cloud, and he was totally right.

I was captivated by an eagle shape that was down and to the right and I pointed to that.

"And there's a man who's holding something!" He says, pointing in another direction, and almost on cue I see a winged bull form -

And then it was over. It was all one cloud: a bundle of wool, greys and blues and whites, a placid sea.

I know it falls short of a Nostradamian quatrain or a scryed aethyr, but it nevertheless satisfactorily answered a question I had for my HGA:

"You've been a bit quiet lately...What are you up to?"
