Is the Taint Tap Gavin's first actual life hack?
Gavin has built up a history of life hacks that are not actually hacks (especially if you ask Andrew). The Taint Tap, or Ball Knuckle in Gavin's own vernacular, might finally have broken this tradition.
As per Merriam-Webster, a life hack is a usually simple and clever tip or technique for accomplishing some familiar task more easily and efficiently.
Let us first compensate for Gavin's unfortunate inability to express his ideas succintly and accurately, and define the technique in question: Instead of the traditional 'shake and stow', one applies a gentle tapping pressure to the taint, just behind the scrotum, to purge any lingering fluids from the urethra after urinating.
I would consider this action to fit well within the defition of simple, meeting the first life hack requirement.
The task of preventing potential pee passage post piddle is, with an average daily urination rate of 6.5 for human men, a familiar task. This checks the second box of life hack necessities.
Finally, since the effective range of the Taint Tap reaches further up the urethral channel than any amount of wang wiggling ever could with considerably less effort, I would deem it easier and more effective. This completes the life hack trifecta.
Also, no matter if you're holding your noodle or cupping your balls, you still will your hands after peeing, invalidating the dirty hands lobby against this life hack.
TL;DR: The Taint Tap proposed by Gavin is a legitimate life hack, no matter what drip-in-pants propagandists want you to believe.
