Best Practices for new Batteries

Hey all,

I've purchased a used T480 (shocker) and bought new batteries after the current ones are performing poorly.

I'm curious the best route to take when they arrive. Should I use the Lenovo Vantage to reset them as a way to calibrate? Or should I let them fully charge, then discharge them like the instructions say to do? Just wondering my best course of action and curious on others thoughts.
