What happened to 5G WWAN?

I've been looking at upgrading my ThinkPad X13 Gen2 at some point this year (hopefully when a Gen6 comes out). My current machine has 5G WWAN (Qualcomm Snapdragon X55), but it looks like the only options on current models are for either a Fibocom or Quectel 4G LTE WWAN. Did Lenovo stop supporting 5G WWAN, or is it just the current models that are missing out for some reason?
