Full throttle fan gets stuck.

TL/DR: Fan randomly goes to full-throttle and stays there. Need help.

Not a "ThinkPad" but adjacent, and people here are wizards!

On my ThinkCentre M910q, at some random point after starting up it will go to full fan speed and stay there. Could be almost immediately, could be hours.

Happen regardless of the OS, currently running Proxmox.

Temps never seem high I regularly check with lm-sensors and haven't seen temps above 45°C. Typically the cores range between 35° and 43° under use.

Steps I've taken:

* I cleaned and re-applied thermal paste * Updated BIOS and chose "acoustic performance" over "thermal performance", issue continues * Found other examples online, all which suggested the obvious steps above

I set this up for a homelab but it wont work at these volumes. Sounds like a hairdryer left on. Will have to replace this machine if I can't fix the issue.
