PTM7950 on T480.

So I'm about to replace the thermal paste on my T480 with the PTM thing and I would like some advice. I know that thermal paste should be applied only on the main die of the chip, but what about PTM? How should I apply it? I'm inclined to do option "A". Would it be the correct option? Thank you guys for the help!
