VR on the X1 Extreme Gen 2?

Hi /r/thinkpad,

As of last Monday I am now the proud owner of a Lenovo X1 Extreme Gen 2! I paid for a few upgrades like 32 gig of RAM and the 4K screen. Absolutely loving the performance so far!

My question is whether the 1650 is powerful enough to run VR? Has anyone tried it? Half Life: Alyx looks amazing but I don't want to shell out a couple of grand and be disappointed.
