asking if anyone has used clear aligners to straighten their teeth but continue thumb sucking?

I’m 31, my teeth are crowded and I have an open bite From thumb sucking.

I’ve always been self conscious of my teeth and am finally looking into treatment to straighten my teeth. Ive been looking into clear aligners but after doing a little google it seems orthodontists are reluctant to begin treatment until the patient has quit the habit. I’m not planning on quitting thumb sucking as it is of huge comfort to me, its the only thing that regulates and relaxes me.

So I’m wondering if anyone has had experience with orthodontic treatment that have continued to suck their thumb? And weather your teeth ended up migrating back out of place because of the habit?
