Can otoplasty cause / worsen to tinnitus ?

I've had a very mild tinnitus for 15 years.

I had an otoplasty surgery back in march, and I felt an uptick of my tinnitus in my left ear right after it. It wasn't so bad and I thought it would calm itself with time.

This summer though, it has steadily gotten worse to the point of being bothersome even during the day. I often get the "full ear" sensation as well.

I can't help but think that the surgical wire they fixed in the mastoidal region, and the general moving around of external cartilage/tissues, is what's causing the increase.

Edit : fucked up the grammar in my title but whatever.
