Tinnitus + sinusitis + anxiety?

Went to doctor today because there is a faint but constant ringing in my left ear. It's not actually tge noise that bothers me but the fear that it could get worse and louder that it could drive me insane.

Anyway, doc said my nasal cavity is congested causing disruption in the alignment of my ear drums. So while the ear drum is intact, it is slighly leaning and not straight because of the pressure from clogged nose.

Has anyone experienced this before?

Doc says it takes 7 to 10 days to see if the ringing goes away. I am only on 2nd day of meds but the anxiety is killing me. I have a history of anxiety and took meds for it before.
