[Windows][1990s] Action RPG with fixed angle cameras

at the beginning a wizard summons you without concent and tells you "As a hero/adventurer you must go where you are most needed, that happens to be—" names of place I can't recall, and opens a portal, possibly in a mirror?

I don't remember much about it beyond that except distinct Spanish/Latin guitar music in the background and a dark, tropical setting, rather classically dressed adventurer in linen and a vest
