[NES] third person jumping game

NES (pretty sure)

I used to own this game as a kid and played it all the time yet I can’t remember the name or find anything about it.

It was a third person perspective where the ground was a checker board like pattern and you had to jump like crazy over gaps, around things, from tiny spring to tiny spring. Each level ended with a centipede like end boss that had to be destroyed section by section.

I rember it being crazy hard and I don’t think I ever beat it.
