[TOMT] Old Reddit Story About the Second Coming of Christ

This is an old thread, anywhere from 9-12 years old. I'm pretty sure it was from /r/WritingPrompts. [There was a post here](https://www.reddit.com/r/tipofmytongue/comments/51jmyq/tomt_story_on_reddit_about_the_second_coming_of/) also asking about it from 7 years ago, but no one found it for them. I'll repost their details since they're similar to what I remember:

>It was told from the perspective of a doctor (or nurse?), male, in the modern Middle East. The narrator was either Israeli or Palestinian. He hears about this incredible young man who is bringing peace in the middle of war. He becomes a believer. There's some sort of helicopter scene. The young man dies. The whole thing doesn't ever explicitly mention Jesus, I think, but it was definitely in response to some sort of prompt about an actual return of Jesus to our times.

I also think it might've been turned into a series/serial, but I can't find *any* posts about it, so that may be a false memory.
