I'm not against tipping but....

Went to a restaurant/ bar recently and they only had a simplified late night menu. At this time of night there wasn't wait staff to, you know, wait on us.

We had to order food from a person that literally was sitting in a closet. I was already mad at the situation because I wanted a real server. Then the kicker was we then had to go to the bar to order drinks and pay separately for that. We got a pager for when our food was ready. Got a seat and go up to the kitchen window when the pager went off. I asked my SO if they tipped the order taker. They had! Being livid at the point I asked how much. $3...but think they lied because of my attitude. Was probably more.

Ordering drinks separately....never again.
