Is this a glitch, or did I misunderstand?

When checking on the Apple Store carrier feature, it says on my current Go 5g Plus plan I would only get the $420 credit for my iPhone 15 Pro. But in the Experience More plan I would get the full $800? Do I need to switch plans to take advantage of the full discount?
