Question about switching a SIM card from a LTE iPhone to a 5G iPhone

I currently have an iPhone 11 through T-Mobile. Preordered the 12 Mini this morning. Can I just swap the SIM card from this phone to the new one? I’m worried that the LTE to 5G will somehow be a factor in not being able to. Thank you in advance.
