For the love of god just go to sleep

I’m sure this is beating a dead horse but I’m basically venting at this point.

Our 4 year old won’t go to bed. Every night it’s a terrible experience of her refusing to listen, cool down and relax for bedtime. Once she is in bed it’s like a broken clock of repeating phrases like; Go to bed otherwise we can’t do such n such, or we resort to threats or the classic throwing out toys. I hate it. I hate saying these things and I hate that I feel like this every damn night. My wife and I sit there with her until she falls asleep most nights and by certain times we just fall asleep too. I don’t want to go to bed at 8:00 every night. I know this has been posted about before but I really just want to scream, which I have done and feel like a total POS for.

She’s a good kid, I love her so much but I know have to do something different or I’m gonna lose my marbles.
