2 year old won’t let mom do anything without crying for dad.

Our 2 year old won’t let my wife do anything without a fight (get out of bed, give bath, change diaper, etc) and crying for dad. Has anyone else experienced this? It’s extremely tough on both of us. Mom feels unwanted and I try to not go in there to give her what she wants, but she goes ballistic. I’ve read about telling them how mommy can do things just like dad and that dad can’t help, but it does nothing.
