All your tips for adding a baby to the mix!

We will be adding a newborn to the mix when our son is 3.5. I have heard that 1-2 kids is a trying time. Tell me all your wisdom for how to make things easier - everything from showing the toddler attention to how to feed myself and just surviving day to day etc. I will take all the tips.

Just for some more info, toddler will be full day in pre-school 3 days a week and my husband will be off for 6 weeks and is very supportive. We also have family willing to travel to help if needed.
