Tom vs. music abuse in advertisements

Saw [this article](https://www.rollingstone.com/music/music-news/the-doors-john-densmore-talks-about-the-bands-ugly-six-year-feud-76215/) linked elsewhere about John Densmore's legal fight against the use of music by The Doors for ads. The other surviving members wanted to do it but Jim Morrison was against that sort of use when he was alive. I thought some folks here might be interested in this bit, especially knowing the history of Tom's fight against the advertising industry.

>During the trial, several musicians  –including Raitt, Neil Young, Eddie Vedder, Tom Petty, Tom Waits and Randy Newman – all showed support for Densmore.
